The mission of The Rhythm Road is to share American’s unique contribution to the world of music. Jazz at Lincoln Center and the U.S. Department of State produced this tour featuring UNIVERSES Poetic Theater Music Ensemble/Quartet under the urban music quartet category to represent American music overseas.

Through the Rhythm Road, Universes toured Morocco, Tunisia, Turkey, Romania, The Netherlands (Amsterdam), England. Tour activities included public concerts, master classes, lecture-demonstrations, workshops, jam sessions, media outreach, and collaborations with local musicians.
